10 Things To Do If You Can't Sleep

While lying in bed, tossing and turning, you may become frustrated in your inability to slip into slumber, perhaps even repeating over and over. "Damn, I've gotta sleep". The more you try to put yourself into sleep, the more conscious you become of not being able to doze off. Here are 10 things that might help you to fall asleep:

• Hide the alarm clock. If you wear a watch while you sleep, loose it! This is because, it acts as a constant reminder of how long it is taking you to fall asleep and how little time you have left before needing to get up. 
• Have a light snack before bed. Research indicates that a light snack can help you sleep more soundly. There's nothing like a grumbling stomach to keep you awake. (Food which are rich in magnesium or calcium)
• Visualization. Imagine your favorite vacation spot.
• Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR). When you tense a muscle for a few seconds, it naturally wants to relax. You start at your toes and deliberately tense one muscle group at a time, progressively working your way up the body.
• Wool material for your mattress. The top layers of mattress cushioning are often what sell the customers. Comfort is what most people look for. But consider what the padding is made of. A cotton-polyester blend on top of polyurethane foam doesn't breath well.
• Choosing the right pillow. Find a pillow that makes you feel comfortable. Experiment with a variety of types, and stick with the one that provides you with the best night's sleep.
• Excess lights. Light tells your body its time to wake up, so the darker your bedroom the better.
• Sleeping away from home? One trick to getting sound sleep when away from home is to make the environment seem more familiar and homelike. A simple way to do this is to bring some objects from home.
• Moving? Check out the neighborhoods. Take sample of the neighborhood's noise. Check the thickness of the walls. Check out the traffic patterns in that area.
• Put pets in their place. Some pet likes to nuzzle up during the night. Some pets wake their owner at night just for company. Moving your pet from bed may be painful. You may even feel this is an act of betrayal. The truth is that your pet will never love you less.

Kim Kardashian Getting Married With Kanye West On 22 July??

So there is a rumor spreading in the heart of New York saying that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are getting married on 22nd July? Do you think its true? If it is, appropriate is the best word to describe Ms Kim don't you think so?

Well, the only reason that I can come up with based on the statement that I had made as above is because SHE JUST GOT OUT OF A DIVORCE FROM A SHORT 72 DAYS MARRIAGE! And she is getting married again.

Besides, Kim Kardashian has recently gifted Kanye West a Lamborghini Aventador which cost a outstanding amount of US$750,000

Which conclude that the relationship they are in is serious! I am pretty sure Kim Kardashian haven't gone around giving out Lamborghinis or other Super Cars to her respective Ex-boyfriends. True?

Malaysia's Biggest Contributor

The expiry of the Malaysian New Economic Policy (NEP) in 1990 gave Mahathir the opportunity to outline his economic vision for Malaysia. In 1991, he announced Vision 2020, under which Malaysia would aim to become a fully developed country within 30 years. The target would require average economic growth of approximately seven per cent of gross domestic product per annum. One Vision 2020's features would be to gradually break down ethnic barriers. Vision 2020 was accompanied by the NEP's replacement, the National Development Policy (NDP), under which some government programs designed to benefit the bumiputera exclusively were opened up to other ethnicities. The NDP acheved success in one of its main aims, poverty reduction. By 1995, less than nine per cent of Malaysians lived in poverty and income inequality had narrowed. Mahathir's government cut corporate taxes and liberalised financial regulations to attract foreign investment. The economy grew by over nine percent per annum until 1997 prompting other developing countries to try to emulate Mahathir's policis. Much of the credit for Malaysia's economic development in the 1990s went to Anwar Ibrahim, appointed by Mahathir as Finance Minister in 1991. The government rode the economic wave and won th
1995 election with an increased majority.

Mahathir initiated a series of major infrastructure projects in the 1990s. One of the largest was the Multimedia Super Corridor, an area south of Kuala Lumpur, in the mould of Silicon Valley, designed to cater for the information technology industry. However, the project failed to generate the investment anticipated. Other Mahathir projects included the development of Putrajaya as the home of Malaysia's public service, and bringing a Formula One Grand Prix to Sepang. One of the most controversial developments was the Bakun Dam in Sarawak. The ambitious hydro-electric project was intended to carry electricity across the South China Sea to satisfy electricity demand in peninsular Malaysia. To deliver the project, Mahathir and the local Barisan Nasional government selected a head contractor close to Mahathir without and open tendering process. The project subsequently suffered from environmental protests, conflicts betweenn contractors, and opposition from the 10,000 residents who would be forcibly displaced from the Sarawak jungle. Work on the dam was eventually suspended due to the Asian financial crisis.

The financial crisis threatened to devastate Malaysia. The value of the ringgit plummeted due to currency speculation, foreign investment fled, and the main stock exchange index fell by over 75%. At the urging of the Internation Monetary Fund (IMF), the government cut spending and raised interest rates, which only served to exacerbate the economic situation. In 1998, Mahathir reversed this policy course in defiance of the IMF and his own deputy, Anwar. He increased government spending and fixed the ringgit to the US dollar. The result confounded his internation critics and the IMF. Malaysia recovered from the crisis faster than its Southeast Asian neighbours.
In the domestic sphere, it was a political triumph. Amidst the economic events of 1998, Mahathir had sacked Anwar as Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, and he could now claim to have rescued the economy spite of Anwar's policies.

Mahathir had become the county's "uncrowned king".

Spain's Misery

Spanish's banking crisis has been developing like the speed of light. Lots of money are being taken away by investors due to its problem and this is the time they really need to use the money to recover all the debts and to support its banking system.

Investors are being driven away, pushing up its borrowing cost and making it more likely to need a bailout.

The country also faces a bond repayment of almost 13 Billion Euros next month and also 20 Billion Euros due in October.

Spain also has an unemployment crisis with more than half of those more than 24 out of work!

The IMF is now in the country for its annual economic review, with the mission expected to last until the middle of the month.

So, this is one of the very interesting facts that I went through and I am surprised to see that some Malaysians are actually very rich and they don't know what to do with their money that they have.
Well, you might think that I am jealous but here is some fact that you Malaysians should know:

I guess most of you know her. She is Kim Kardashian one of United States popular people. Recently she got married with a NBA (basketball) player who is known as Kris Humphries whereby they got a divorce 72 days after.

The fact which related to the topic and the picture above that I am currently sharing with all of you is that a Malaysian businessman who we don't know who exactly presented the couple a Ferrari! YES! A Ferrari!

The price on that Ferrari was an outstanding figure of US$325,000 which also equals an estimation of RM1 Million! I wonder who this businessman is.

World Stock Recovering

World stocks rose more than 2 percent, recovering a bit from recent weakness, and the euro rallied on Wednesday on hopes that major central banks might act to bolster a slowing global economy.
Brent crude jumped above $100 a barrel, while gold hit a one-month high, leading a broad rally in the commodities sector. Silver soared 4 percent for its largest gain in three months and copper gained 3 percent.


"Since we're likely to see more economic weakness in the months ahead, it's reasonable for the markets to assume the chance of an ECB rate cut has gone up," said Robert Tipp, chief investment strategist for Prudential Fixed Income, with $330 billion in assets under management.

Dato Seri Najib Razak Vs Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim

So lets start with Dato Seri Najib Razak and to be honest I am referring most of the information from wikipedia. Please don't say that I am mocking or whatsoever. Thank you 

Dato Seri Najib Razak was born on 23rd July 1953,  and he had a very relaxing early life. His father was our 2nd Prime Minister of Malaysia which is Tun Razak and his uncle was the 3rd Prime Minister of Malaysia which is Tun Hussein Onn. Basically, he had been through a lot before coming for who he had became now. He graduated with a solid degree of industrial economics in 1974 and later worked for Bank Negara (Central Bank) and Petronas .

Dato Seri Najib has held a variety of ministerial portfolios since he 32 years old and they are Minister of Defence, Minister of Education, Minister of Finance, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Umno Youth's Executive Council and the Prime Minister currently.

No crime records was found so far on Dato Seri Najib.

Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim was born in 10 August 1947, is a Malaysian politician who served as Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister from 1993 to 1998.

Dato Seri Anwar was a close ally of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad but subsequently emerged as the most prominent critic of Mahathir's government.

In 1999, he was sentenced to 6 years in prison for corruption, and in 2000, for another 9 years for sodomy. In 2004, the Federal Court reversed the second conviction and he was released. In July 2008, he was arrested for allegations he sodomised one of his male aides, but was acquitted of the charge in January 2012.

Also on 21 March 2011 a sex video was found claimed to feature Anwar Ibrahim and he denied his involvement.

5 Hours & 37 Minutes. Diablo 3 New Record

25th May, would be a great achievement day for a young man from Singapore whereby this guy completed this whole game in only 5 hours & 37 minutes. Pretty amazing. This player from Singapore completed the game on a normal "difficulty" status. I am not a big fan of Diablo but to complete the whole game in just merely 6 hours is awesome. The last player which now came in second from Korea who had recorded his best time at merely 7 hours.

The game was actually announced by Blizzard on June 28, 2008 but went into development long before that. Overall, the gamers actually waited for about 12 years before the game was released early May. That is unbelievable.

Facebook Has Taken My Life Away!

Facebook Addiction Disorder (FAD) has taken the life of 350,000 people. More than 69% of them are women. Don't let it catch you; know more and prevent more.

he 24-year-old Marion (not a real name) wakes up to find out her aunt’s cousin’s daughter’s newborn grandson pictures on Facebook. She goes for bath still giggling on her hilarious preschool friend’s status. Marion then decides to have PopTart for lunch, while checking out her Facebook’s friends on her iPhone.

Marion spends her weekends on Facebook. She does not hang out. She sleeps late checking her Facebook, and wakes up to it again. She is comfortable of this routine, but the opposite way of her body weight. She has gained five pounds in the past two weeks; she can no longer fit to her favorite strapless black dress.

“I don’t really hang out on weekends anymore. It’s okay that I don’t go out with my close friends. I still get to chat with them through Facebook. I, however, worry about my weight. I have started but it never seemed to work.”

Marion clearly suffers from Facebook Addiction Disorder (FAD). The disorder can turn to be extremely dangerous.

What is Facebook Addiction Disorder?

Psychologist Joanna Lipari explains FAD symptoms include losing night sleep over the website, spending the entire night checking it, then becoming tired the next day. She adds ignorance towards responsibilities will occur the next day. Lipari also says FAD sufferers spend more than an hour a day in Facebook, whereas average people spend only half an hour a day on it. In extreme cases, Lipari includes stresses and anxieties when one cannot log in to Facebook.

Another psychologist Dr. Michael Fenichel describes it as a mental disorder in which its usage overtakes one’s daily life.

What are the effects?

Obesity. FAD sufferers prefer sitting in front of their computer screens to exercising. No more spaghetti straps ladies!

No social life. Sufferers will prefer Facebook to hanging out.

No privacy. FAD sufferers will update statuses about their whereabouts, statuses, etc.

Looks tired every morning. They sleep late at night on the website. Remember, concealer cannot cover your eye bags the whole day.

"It's okay if I don't go out with my close friends, I still get to chat with them through Facebook..."

How to overcome FAD?

Reduce Facebook tracking. Do not stay on it for more than half an hour.

Hang out! Go for a day out with your girls, and spend a little time on interesting activities for example lipstick shopping, or even a waltz class.

Get a phone without Internet feature. It may look outdated, but it helps!

Let’s start eliminating FAD!

If you think you suffer from FAD, start helping yourself with few ways provided.

If FAD catches your loved ones, or your friends, provide helps and supports them.

Lastly, when it has gotten too far, consult to a psychologist

So what if a businessman is profiting millions out of it? Isn't that is the way business is suppose to work?

According to our Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak, the economic crisis affecting Greece will not adversely impact Malaysia as the country's exports to it was only 0.1% of total exports last year. Malaysia's financial status remains strong as the result of the government's continued efforts in keeping debts at a manageable level.

At present, 96% of the country's domestic debt is financed via local sources, thereby minimizing the foreign exchange risk. As of May 31, Malaysia's international reserves totalled RM312.2 Billion, sufficient to accommodate 4.4 times the external short term debt of the country.

But why is the Malaysian stock market (Bursa Saham Malaysia) is currently boring or weak? Why most of the counters are going down to the ground? Well, some says that it is because of the election and what I think might be the answer is something related to Greece.  Whereby the investors have long acknowledged the possibility of a Greek withdrawal from the 17-nation euro currency union as the country struggles to meet harsh austerity targets that are condition of getting international bailout money.  Former Greek Prime Minister, Lucas Papademos suggesting such a euro exit could be approaching, flustered market.

Another big worry for investors is a slowdown in Chinese growth, compounded in a reluctance of Chinese companies to borrow because of uncertainty of the economy. This affects Japan NIKKEI 225 index which fell 1.8 percent

So, Malaysian investors I believe are facing the same scenario whereby it got them worried as well.
